Job Summary
Lead cross-functional product development teams through all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept to commercial release. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution within a four-day workweek (Monday through Thursday). Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to project teams while fostering collaboration in an Agile development environment. Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, suppliers, consultants, and external partners to support project objectives and timelines. Monitor project progress, communicate status updates, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks. Ensure project documentation is maintained throughout the development process and complies with applicable quality system requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical discipline
- 7–11 years of experience in project management, product development, marketing, design engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization
- Knowledge of medical device quality systems and applicable regulations, including FDA Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485, and ISO 9001
- Strong project management, organizational, and budget management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills that inspire collaboration and accountability
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex technical projects
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile product development environment while consistently meeting project milestones
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, external suppliers, and business partners
- Previous experience in the medical device industry and familiarity with operating room environments
