Job Summary

Serve as the owner's representative for baggage handling system projects, overseeing planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning from concept through operational turnover. Manage day-to-day activities by coordinating with airport stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and internal teams while monitoring scope, schedule, budget, and technical performance. Lead project coordination meetings, review engineering submittals and RFIs, conduct field observations, and facilitate functional testing and closeout documentation. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on schedule status and risks, resolve technical challenges, and ensure delivery meets client objectives, contract requirements, and safety standards. Based in Austin, Denver, or Seattle with travel required.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience managing or supporting aviation projects through design, construction and commissioning
  • Experience serving as an owner's representative on major airport capital improvement programs
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and client stakeholders
  • Prior mechanical/electrical experience in the installation of Baggage handling systems
  • Ability to travel as required to support project delivery
  • Experience delivering baggage handling system installation, modernization, commissioning or testing projects at Category X commercial airports
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam and project management platforms such as Procore, Prolog, Aconex or Newforma
  • Experience with Tote-based Carrier type system installations
  • Successful candidates must be able to complete a TSA background investigation and obtain and maintain airport security badge access
  • All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
