Job Summary
Lead full-cycle interior design projects as a Project Manager for STG Design's interior studio in Austin. Responsibilities include consulting with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements, serving as primary liaison to satisfy client goals, estimating fees and preparing proposals and contracts, implementing all phases of a design project from contracts through construction documentation and completion, coordinating and directing project teams, and maintaining positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and agencies. Requires Bachelor's in Interior Design or Architecture, 6-10 years of professional experience including at least 2 years in project management for interiors, proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD/SketchUp/Rhino a plus), strong leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of building codes and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program
- 6-10 years of professional experience including at least 2 years of project management experience in Interiors projects
- Advanced knowledge of furniture types vendors fixtures and equipment as well as architectural/interior finishes
- Proficiency in Revit
- Experience negotiating project scope and fees and ability to keep projects on track within deadlines budget and scope
- Knowledge of Rhino a plus
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD SketchUp preferred
- Understanding of local building codes and standards
- Strong leadership organization communication and interpersonal management skills
- Excellent client liaison and proposal/contract development experience
