Job Summary
Plan and supervise end-to-end delivery of HVAC Mechanical Retrofit and Design-Build projects, defining scope, deliverables, and requirements with stakeholders. Develop project plans, determine resource and budget needs, and establish timelines while identifying risks to implement mitigation strategies. Monitor delivery against schedules, oversee team activities, and communicate status to relevant parties. Provide overall responsibility for project site supervision, ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental, and health and safety standards. Manage client relationships, resolve issues, and maintain expectations to ensure satisfaction. Projects are moderate in complexity and require travel west and north of the GTA.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of project engineering experience in the field of mechanical building services
- Construction or similar experience
- Ability to travel West and North of the GTA
- Project management aptitude – ability and experience in delivering projects on-time, on-budget, within specifications, and in-compliant with all requirements including but not limited to regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements
- Project Budget management – proven ability and experience in developing and managing budgets
- Project risk mitigation and management – proven ability and experience in mitigating and managing project risks
- Advanced working knowledge of the provincial building code, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards
- Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- P.Eng. Mechanical Engineering (or be able to qualify within one year.)
- Project Management Institute Accreditation or in progress
- LEED certification or in progress
- Engineer in training
