Job Summary
Lead comprehensive leadership and oversight on multiple medium and large-scale public works projects, guiding work from Pre-design through Project Closeout. Coordinate all project efforts, including consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure effective execution and client satisfaction. Prepare strategic plans, estimate scope, and manage budgets, schedules, and staffing to deliver projects successfully. Serve as the primary client liaison, facilitating communication and presenting clear design and technical updates. Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, acting as a team leader when necessary. Support business development by participating in client meetings, proposals, and project pursuits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Current architectural licensure
- Minimum of 10 years of professional architectural experience
- Minimum of 10 years practicing as a Project Manager
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, vendors, and project teams
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with public sector projects, such as PreK-12 Education, Higher Education, Government Projects or other Civic facilities
- Knowledge of sustainable building systems and green building certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge)
- Familiar with architectural software programs: Bluebeam, Revit, MW Outlook, Excel and Word, as well as other Sustainability Software
- Experience mentoring architects and design professionals
