Job Summary
Remote-first Project Manager for EPC-driven electric utility capital programs, responsible for delivering T&D and substation projects across multiple regions as the Owner’s Representative. Own scope, schedule, budget, and contractor performance; coordinate with EPC contractors and design engineers across the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning; conduct site visits to monitor construction and ensure compliance with project specs; manage change orders, RFIs, and contract modifications; maintain program-level reporting and risk management; travel within the assigned operating region (25%+) to sites as required. Requires EPC experience, ability to manage external contractors/vendors, and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management or related field (or equivalent experience with a high school diploma). PMP preferred; candidate should have familiarity with utility regulatory environments and multi-state program delivery; willingness to relocate if not commuting distance; valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience on capital infrastructure projects with hands-on EPC involvement
- Experience with EPC contract structures, cross-discipline coordination, and managing external contractors/vendors
- Willingness to travel within assigned operating region (~25%)
- Proficiency with project management tools for scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting
- Valid driver’s license and travel by vehicle/airplane within service territory
