Job Summary
The Project Manager (PM) leads planning, delivery and execution of IT projects across information security and business applications in an M&A context, applying TMX-standard processes to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with quality and client focus. Responsibilities include defining project scope, assembling resources, creating integrated schedules, managing budgets >$2M, tracking risks/issues, ensuring proper documentation, providing regular status reporting to steering committees, and driving project governance. The PM will lead cross-functional teams, apply SDLC, Iterative and Agile methodologies, maintain PM lifecycle templates, and collaborate with regulators and external clients. This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) based in Toronto, ON, and requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing Information Technology projects including Cloud and SAAS implementations
- Experience with end-to-end project delivery (business and IT) for projects over $2M
- Experience managing information security and business application projects as part of an M&A
- University/undergraduate degree in a related discipline or equivalent PM work experience within the financial services industry
- Ability to navigate and deliver within a fully matrixed, complex and somewhat ambiguous environment
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Background delivering projects using SDLC, Iterative and Agile methodologies
- Excellent relationship-building abilities and understanding that partnership is key to successful delivery
- Prior experience working with regulators and external clients
- PMP certification (Nice to Have)
- Migration to Google Suite (Nice to Have)
- Workday as a PPM (Nice to Have)
