Job Summary
Manage all aspects of multiple small to large complex projects, including taking responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and material approvals. Coordinate administrative and technical project efforts to ensure efficient execution while supervising site observations and reporting existing conditions. Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs, and conduct code research and analysis for agency approvals. Prepare design and proposal materials, estimate fees, and determine scope of work in collaboration with engineers, consultants, and clients. Actively participate in marketing and business development processes to establish a vision for the market practice. This role requires 10+ years of combined experience as a design professional and/or architect, with a professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program. Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Suite is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program
- Ability to provide business development for firm within practice expertise area
- 10+ years combined experience as a design professional and/or architect
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit
- Firm grasp of building technology fundamentals
- Thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes, and trends
- Excellent time management, organizational and written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree of Architecture
- Registered as a licensed architect
- Experience with Newforma Project Center and/or Newforma Project Analyzer
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam PDF Revu
- Additional relevant certifications indicating additional expertise such as for construction administration, interior design, LEED/Green Globes/sustainability, etc.
- Experience writing and editing specifications
