Project Manager III- Substation (On Site Position)

Job Summary
Execute intermediate to complex substation projects with full ownership of financials, P&L, and delivery at the journey level. Lead business development by cultivating client relationships, reviewing RFPs, and developing bidding strategies and pricing. Manage field operations by selecting and training superintendents, conducting safety audits, and overseeing subcontractor relationships to ensure schedule and scope compliance. Prepare project initiation plans including loaded schedules, cash flow projections, and safety protocols while maintaining accurate monthly work-in-progress and revenue reconciliation. Identify and mitigate project risks to keep budgets on track and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Developing and communicating meaningful training to crews and crew supervision

- Maintaining ongoing communication with project sites and customers
- Identifying and communicating issues such as scope changes, schedule conflicts, material shortages or manpower adjustments
- Managing P&L, project costs
- Proactively identifying risks to ensure projects stay within budget
- Developing project cash flows
- Managing project billing
- Change order tracking
- Exhibiting proficiency in contract development and management
- Exhibiting proficiency in project risk management
- Identification, prioritization, and mitigation of project risks
- Seeking out and exploiting project opportunities
- Effectively communicating project information to both internal and external project stakeholders
- Completing monthly work-in-progress (WIP) in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconciliation of the revenue to expenses for each job on a monthly basis
- Responsible for all project planning documents including but not limited to scope management plan, schedule management plan, cost management plan, quality management plan, resource management plan, communications management plan, risk management plan, procurement management plan, change management plan, scope baseline, schedule baseline, cost baseline, and the performance measurement baseline
