Job Summary
Manage major departmental projects with significant cross-functional interfaces, including Corporate Agenda initiatives, ensuring goals are met within established time and budget guidelines. Lead cross-functional teams by proactively identifying and resolving conflict and integration issues, including cost/benefit analysis and resource estimating. Coach less experienced project managers, facilitate planning sessions, and influence the owner, sponsor, and steering committee. Accurately estimate resource usage and modify schedules as necessary while resolving roadblocks to project progress. Work from home as required and may be assigned additional hours beyond the standard schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of business experience
- 5-8 years in project management leading cross-functional projects
- Thorough knowledge of PMBOK concepts
- Ability to use advanced knowledge of company to navigate political issues
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing issues
- Ability to effectively lead in a matrix environment
- Highest level of competency with applying project management techniques, tools and methods
- Stakeholder and vendor management
- Risk assessment
- Communication planning
- Resource estimating
- Use of relevant products and tools (i.e. MSProject and MSOffice suite of products)
- Ability to identify risk out of the larger picture
- Ability to make decisions that serve the best interests of the Company
- Highest level of presentation skills
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively present to and communicate with senior management staff
- Must be able to work under normal office conditions
- Must be able to work from home as required
- Must be able to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule
