Job Summary
Project Manager III leads large move and install projects for commercial customers, supervises crews, and ensures projects stay within bid while documenting any customer-approved change orders. Responsibilities include coordinating loading/unloading of office furniture and materials, driving a Class A vehicle if qualified, engaging with account managers and customers, and developing strategies to improve employee engagement. The role includes managing billing/cash applications for the team, coaching staff, enforcing policy adherence, and guiding Six Sigma initiatives to improve processes. The position requires BA/BS in Project Management (or equivalent), 3+ years’ experience in pre-move meetings and estimating move projects, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Excel and CAD tools. Primary location is San Jose, with travel to company and customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Project Management; or a combination of education and equivalent experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in conducting pre-move meetings, managing post destination signage, and communicating standard move and install protocols to customers or related experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience estimating small to medium move and install projects to determine manpower, trucks, and equipment necessary to complete the tasks required or related experience.
- Strong supervisory or managerial skills to lead a Transportation team.
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid California driver’s license and driving record that meets the company’s insurance carrier requirements.
