Job Summary

Oversee the full lifecycle of complex design and construction projects for government facilities, from planning and scoping through design, construction, commissioning, and occupancy. Manage customer expectations, project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance while serving as the on-site construction manager for day-to-day field activities. Review and approve design documents, construction submittals, schedules, and cost estimates; coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, and customer agencies. Apply advanced knowledge of commercial building systems to evaluate design and construction quality, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire systems. Prepare scopes of work, government estimates, and progress reports; maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Travel to project sites for inspections, progress reviews, and technical evaluations as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Ten years of experience managing design and construction projects
  • Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems
  • Ability to solve complex technical and project challenges
  • Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management tools and estimating software
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Travel to project sites for inspections, progress reviews, and technical evaluations as required
