Job Summary
Guide medium- to large-sized PMO-assigned projects through the full lifecycle, assembling teams, assigning responsibilities, and driving milestones using best practice methodologies. Manage PMO governance, documentation, dashboards, and program tracking while identifying risks and developing contingency plans. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and advise business owners on governance, change management, and implementation planning. Complete audit and reporting for strategic plan projects for presentation to NCSBN leadership. Utilize project management knowledge to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and track business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Four years of project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Experience leading multiple large to complex projects or programs from initiation through closeout
- Understanding of program/project management best practice methodologies (Waterfall/Predictive, Agile)
- Proficiency with technologies to contribute to a PMO, i.e., dashboard reporting, program management and all additional technologies (PM platforms, Jira, Salesforce, SharePoint, Smartsheets, Visio, etc.)
- Ability to learn new project management technologies
- Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site, 3 days/week remote)

- Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools, project management platforms, and collaboration technologies to improve project delivery and reporting efficiency
