Job Summary
Project Manager II responsible for leading MEPF systems design, installation, commissioning, and turnover across design and construction phases. Manages technical scope, cost, schedule, and performance of MEPF systems; develops design coordination, installation, and turnover plans; proactively mitigates risks to ensure alignment with operational requirements. Serves as primary technical liaison for MEPF, oversees procurement and technical evaluation of consultants and vendors, coordinates with operations, and leads multidisciplinary teams (designers, contractors, operators). Applies deep knowledge of MEPF design standards, codes, commissioning, and system performance across the full lifecycle (concept through turnover). Develops performance metrics and executive reporting indicators; coordinates shutdowns and tie-ins; manages RFIs, submittals, and technical changes; maintains design criteria documentation, as-built records, and warranty tracking. Familiar with BAS, power, HVAC, life safety, control interfaces, and BIM coordination; strong communication and stakeholder engagement to minimize operational disruptions and achieve timely project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or related technical field (required)
- 10+ years managing MEP systems design and construction
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure (airport experience preferred)
- Demonstrated coordination of MEPF and controls systems
- Experience supporting commissioning and system turnover
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with Building Automation Systems (BAS), BIM coordination (Revit), and related design/construction tools
- Proven ability to develop budgets, schedules, and resource plans
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, technical change proposals, and commissioning records
- O&M manuals and training coordination
