Job Summary
Project Manager II at Mortenson to lead the financial health, scheduling, safety, and quality of construction projects, manage subcontracts and suppliers, develop and track project financial projections, determine cost codes and invoices, oversee owner billings and contract management, manage trade partner selections and on-site team, review owner agreements, execute change orders, and maintain project schedule and risk management while mentoring staff. Requires a Bachelor's degree in construction, civil, architectural engineering, or construction management (or equivalent experience), current driver’s license, and ability to travel up to 100%. Leadership of on-site teams, effective communication with owners and architects, and knowledge of project management practices and EEO/affirmative action policies are expected. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
