Job Summary
Lead project financial management for complex construction initiatives, including subcontracts, budgeting, billing, and contract management; oversee schedules and budgets to completion, manage on-site teams (Assistant PMs and Project Engineers), and coordinate with owners, on-site representatives, and architects. Responsible for change orders, owner reviews, risk and safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality relationships with diverse stakeholders. Role supports two levels (PM1 and PM2) with salary ranges based on experience/location; travel up to 100% is required; visa sponsorship is not offered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent experience, and 6–7 years of construction management experience depending on level.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Six years of construction management or related experience (Project Manager 1)
- Seven years of construction management or related experience with large projects ($20M+) (Project Manager 2)
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
