Project Manager II (Construction)

Job Summary
Oversee administration, execution, and completion of mid-sized construction projects, including municipal, education, and parks initiatives. Lead preconstruction efforts by preparing budgets, soliciting bids, and writing detailed scopes of work. Coordinate permit applications, negotiate subcontracts, and manage master schedules while monitoring productivity and profitability. Facilitate weekly meetings, manage submittals and RFIs, and collaborate with superintendents to enforce quality control and safety standards. Review closeout documentation, approve invoices, and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors. Mentor junior staff and participate in industry networking to drive project goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in construction, engineering or architecture related fields
- 5+ years experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager
- estimating experience
- a clear understanding of the business side of construction
- field experience
- a comprehensive understanding of each phase of the construction process
- knowledge of the market/industry
- a proven record of success on mid-sized and/or multiple small-sized projects
- a thorough understanding of construction technologies such as: scheduling software, financial comprehension, digital model navigation
- ability to read and understand blueprints
