Job Summary
Oversee on-site construction projects by coordinating design and construction activities, ensuring quality and compliance, and correcting errors before they are incorporated. Make decisions on phasing and scheduling, monitor progress against approved cost limitations, and resolve field issues raised by architects and construction staff. Issue directives to contractors to enforce contract compliance, negotiate change orders, and review claims while providing guidance to lower-level managers. Visit job sites as required and interact with senior management on contractual enforcement matters. Requires a driver's license in New York State.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible work as a technical specialist in one or more construction and design-related fields
- Two (2) years of experience managing all phases of K-12 construction work
- A driver's license valid in New York State
