Job Summary
Project Manager at MP Lundy Construction oversees planning, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration for complex construction projects in Eastern Ontario. The role leads a project team of five or more, tracks progress, and reports to the VP Construction. Responsibilities include setting up projects, ensuring contract requirements are fulfilled, developing and maintaining schedules and budgets, validating estimates, managing subcontracts and procurement, approving invoices, monitoring cash flow, identifying risks, maintaining the master schedule and risk register, and communicating updates to owners, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors. Key skills include leadership, stakeholder management, budgeting, cost control, contract administration, scheduling, risk management, QA/QC, health and safety, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (experience with Procore and estimating techniques is an asset). Must have excellent English reading/writing and strong communication abilities; design/build experience is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years of related construction project management experience
- Post-Secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated success in effectively prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Experience with Procore is an asset
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, understand, interpret construction plans and specifications
