Job Summary
Project Manager I and II position within Energy Services responsible for managing all phases of project planning and execution to meet defined objectives (scope, schedule, cost, quality, environment, safety, communication, security, integration). Key duties include identifying customer needs, designing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients, with emphasis on engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of energy-related systems (electric infrastructure, backup power, power quality, monitoring, facility assessments, outdoor lighting, and industrial processes). Responsibilities span contractor and vendor management, contract administration, budgeting and financial reporting, planning and design coordination, safety and environmental compliance, project scheduling and risk management, construction oversight, and business development to expand turnkey electrical infrastructure and maintenance projects. Leadership and clear communication are required to align internal teams and customers, with a track record of delivering projects on-time, on-budget, and on-scope. Preparation of documentation for project closeout and transition to end users is also required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree 2 years minimum related experience OR In lieu of degree, High School / GED and 5 years minimum related experience for PM I
- Bachelor’s Degree 5 years minimum related experience OR In lieu of degree, High School / GED and 9 years minimum related experience for PM II
- General Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field; or master’s degree in project management, MBA, Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager or Certified Construction Project Manager
- Five years of electrical design, electrical construction project management, or related experience
- Must include demonstrated project management skills that resulted in projects delivered on-time, on-budget and on-scope
- Demonstrated experience with design/installation/operation of back-up power systems, monitoring and controls equipment, power quality, and energy efficiency measures
- Contract and vendor management experience; contract preparation, execution, and administration
- Planning experience coordinating teams for planning reliability and constructability
- Safety and environmental policy compliance experience
- Project management scheduling software proficiency (MS Project preferred)
- Construction management experience including licensing, permitting, site inspections, and closeout
- Leadership experience; ability to communicate effectively with customers and teams
- Experience developing turnkey electrical infrastructure and electrical maintenance projects
- Willingness to travel 15-25%
- Field mobility and ability to work remote/on-site after onboarding
