Job Summary
Project Manager I overseeing fluid-related analytical projects for assigned clients, coordinating field and lab staff, designing sampling and analytical programs, providing clients with service options and costs, tracking progress, producing final data reports, and delivering technical support and client communications. Responsibilities span PVT, field sampling, water/compositional analyses, EOR, and other fluid-related projects; involves planning testing programs, issuing scopes of work, ensuring phase behavior compliance with company standards and client requirements, processing analytical data, performing material balance calculations, and preparing/proofing reports. Requires a bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred) or 2+ years of related experience, strong data interpretation, writing, and client-facing skills, and familiarity with ISO procedures. The role includes regular client visits, coordination with lab management and other Core Lab departments, and contributing to quality and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or four-year college; engineering degree preferred
- two plus years of fluid-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
- ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
