Job Summary
Lead the execution of supermarket construction and remodel projects focusing on refrigeration, HVAC, and control systems. Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution with emphasis on integration of refrigeration, HVAC, and control systems; manage CapEx planning and budgets; supervise installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems (CO2, glycol, and other natural refrigerants) and building control systems to optimize energy efficiency and performance. Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors, liaise with clients, ensure compliance with local codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Maintain detailed documentation and reporting on CapEx plans, project progress, and cost analyses. Requires 5+ years of PM experience in construction/engineering, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, proficiency with MS Project and CMiC, and PMP-type certification preferred. Expect a field-based role with 75% travel across the Greater Philadelphia area and central Pennsylvania.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction or engineering sectors with significant experience in supermarket refrigeration, HVAC, and control systems
- Experience with installation of supermarket RHVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, and control systems (e.g., Danfoss, Emerson) including CO2, glycol and transcritical
- PMP or relevant project management certification is preferred
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, CMiC) and cost-tracking tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Field-based with 75% travel to project sites
