Job Summary
Lead design efforts on highway projects including highway reconstruction and safety improvements, intersection improvements, and pedestrian trails. Develop design documents for transportation improvements using AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation. Provide construction support, supervise staff engineers, and monitor project schedule, budget, and staffing. Maintain active client communications and contribute to proposals and business development.
Required Qualifications
- PE license required
- 7+ years of related work experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation design software
- Experience in management and design of roadway, traffic, and/or bridge improvement projects (NJDOT or PennDOT experience a plus)
- Well versed in local and national design standards
- Knowledge of traffic engineering principles a plus
- Highly motivated and eager to work on a diverse range of transportation improvement projects for local, county, and state agencies
- Willingness to represent FPA at professional societies and technical seminars
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
