PROJECT MANAGER- HIGHER EDUCATION

Job Summary
Manage and drive the preconstruction process, including proposal strategy, constructability reviews, and coordination with clients, architects, and subcontractors. Prepare and maintain project budgets, track change orders, and generate estimates while utilizing ProCore to monitor RFI's, submittals, and contracts. Coordinate project meetings, obtain building permits, and manage approvals for shop drawings and submittals. Prepare and submit monthly pay requests, approve billings, and compile all job data for close-out. Mentor the Assistant Project Manager and complete assigned training requirements. This role oversees commercial projects valued over $50M within a Construction Manager at Risk contract, with a preference for experience in Texas higher education systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field
- 7 years of relevant experience in commercial construction
- Familiarity with the preconstruction process of a Construction Manager at Risk contract
- Willing to travel
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years preferred
- Preferred previous project experience in a higher ed school system within the State of Texas
- Confined Space, CPR/AED/First Aid, Defensive Driving certifications preferred
- OSHA 30 certification
