Job Summary
Senior Project Manager for preconstruction leadership in complex, high-profile capital projects in the education sector. Oversees design development, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, bid processes, and contractor procurement; guides projects from initial concept through to construction management handoff; strong emphasis on aligning design, cost, and schedule with stakeholders including owners, designers, and consultants; requires experience with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced on-site environment.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry (pre-construction preferred)
- Institutional/Higher Ed experience preferred
- CSU experience is a plus but not required
- Experience working for a general contractor on construction projects is a plus
- Understanding of Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical systems is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently (+/-5) ranging in value from $1mil to $15mil
- Excellent planning & logistical skills
- Excellent stakeholder management & customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
