Job Summary
Project Manager for heavy-highway/civil construction leading profitability and schedule control. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining master project schedules, coordinating with owners/subcontractors/suppliers, managing contracts, pay requests, change orders, RFIs, ASIs, subcontracts and purchase orders, reviewing shop drawings for compliance, generating monthly progress reports, submitting pay applications and change proposals, and assisting estimating. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with 3+ years in heavy-civil construction, ability to read drawings, proficiency with MS Project and MS Office, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of heavy-civil construction experience
- Experience with heavy-civil domains such as water and wastewater treatment, bridge, highway, grading, drainage, utilities, concrete, paving
- Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Proficiency with scheduling software (MS Project, or similar) and Microsoft Office
