Job Summary
Coordinate new project planning with internal departments, subcontractors, and clients while tracking completion, daily production rates, materials, and equipment usage. Interpret project specifications, drawings, and documents to ensure construction aligns with design, then schedule building and maintenance activities. Review and approve AP invoices, monthly billings, timecards, and budgets; maintain budgets during construction and generate projections for materials, productivity, manpower, and equipment. Build relationships internally and externally to support project execution. Requires 3–5 years of heavy civil experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with HCSS or Microsoft Project. Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility as project needs arise.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 year's minimum experience working on heavy civil projects
- Experience utilizing many layers of project documents to effectively comply with project building requirements
- Experience in PM, CM, or QC roles on large-scale power projects involving civil construction within the power industry
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with or willingness to be trained on HCSS Software (HeavyJob & HeavyBid)
- Experience with or willingness to be trained on Microsoft Project
- Must be a team player and willing to perform multiple duties as the need arises
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and a DVR acceptable to the company's insurance carrier
- Willing and able to work long hours and in varying conditions
- Must be able to travel 20%
