Project Manager, Heavy Civil

Job Summary
Drive project strategy and mentor multidisciplinary teams to ensure balanced workloads and professional growth across complex heavy civil projects. Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental practices by implementing the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) and enforcing regulatory standards. Execute construction activities for leach pad installation, reclamation, and large-scale earthworks according to approved plans and codes. Manage the full lifecycle of projects including site preparation, liner installation, and QA/QC protocols while overseeing trade awards within financial targets. Develop detailed construction schedules to meet critical milestones and monitor budgets, billing, and forecasting. Lead reclamation efforts post-construction, including topsoil replacement and habitat restoration in alignment with environmental permits. This site-based role requires travel across the U.S. and involves managing multi-phase civil projects with a focus on precision and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing large civil, oil & gas, or pipeline projects
- Strong focus on leach pad construction, reclamation, and earthworks
- Post-secondary education in Civil Construction, Engineering, or a related field
- Deep understanding of construction documentation, budgeting, and contract negotiation
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical and complex information clearly
- Travel to project locations across the U.S.
