Job Summary
Manage heavy civil and utility infrastructure projects from award through final closeout, overseeing schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports. Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation while collaborating with superintendents to ensure safe, on-time, high-quality completion. Build strong relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors. Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety expectations. Support commissioning, punch list completion, and project turnover. Requires 3+ years in heavy civil or mechanical construction with full responsibility for preconstruction through closeout. Must live within one hour of Nashville, Tennessee.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil or mechanical construction
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout with full responsibility for schedules, budgets, and client communication
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, contract administration, RFIs, submittals, and change order management
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Must live within approximately one hour of Nashville, Tennessee
- Experience working for a heavy civil general contractor or mechanical contractor is required
- Candidates with backgrounds limited to residential construction, homebuilding, or light commercial construction will not be considered
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with water or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, utility infrastructure, industrial facilities, or similar heavy civil projects is strongly preferred
