Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction with AIS Infrastructure

Job Summary

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for heavy civil construction projects from initiation to completion. Coordinate and supervise all project activities, including subcontractors and suppliers, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and AIS Infrastructure's safety standards. Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion, manage resources including labor and equipment, and conduct regular meetings to communicate status to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate risks, ensure quality control, and prepare project reports for management. Bid work and prepare technical writing for review. This role oversees multiple assignments in the Southeastern U.S., primarily Georgia, with travel to project sites and occasional work in the Chattanooga, TN office. Requires 8+ years of construction project management experience and proficiency in tools like Primavera P6 and Procore.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases
  • OSHA 30-hour construction outreach training
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of construction project management principles
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer service and client management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial power plant projects
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional)
