Job Summary
Oversee the direction, completion, and financial outcomes of heavy civil construction projects up to $15 million, including accurate revenue/cost forecasting, budgeting with estimators and project controls, and leading bid development to ensure profitability. Facilitate collaboration among project engineers, foremen, superintendents, and the Construction Manager; ensure safe, efficient execution, rigorous job controls, and strong client relationships. Requires a BS in a related field (or equivalent experience), 3-5 years in heavy civil environments (with paving/grading experience), leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of union and prevailing wage issues.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Three to five (3-5) years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments
- Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices
- Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues
- Ability to maintain high production environment
- Demonstrated decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent supervisory, communication, and organizational skills
- Accuracy at all times
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to abide by Code of Conduct and safety initiatives
- Experience coordinating with estimators, project controls, and sponsor teams
