Job Summary

Project Manager for healthcare construction responsible for leading project quality, timeliness, and safety while mentoring the team. Manages overall financial health of projects including subcontracts and suppliers, develops and maintains project financial projections, determines cost codes, approves invoices, and handles monthly owner billings and contract management including contract buyouts. Oversees budget for trade partners and suppliers, leads/mentors Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), approves timecards, and serves as main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative to resolve site concerns. Executes/manages change orders, maintains schedule and budget through project completion, ensures high-quality, risk-aware, and compliant execution, and builds relationships across diverse backgrounds. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience), valid driver’s license, and ability to travel up to 100%. Salary ranges for two levels: Project Manager 1 (min $113,500 – max $170,300) and Project Manager 2 (min $132,100 – max $198,200). The role is based in Phoenix, AZ, with stated relocation and visa-sponsorship notes as part of benefits and policy context.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Current driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 100%
  • Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
