Job Summary
Develop strong client relationships and act as the single point of contact throughout projects to achieve client goals. Lead programs of work and large capital projects across varying sizes, managing all stakeholders including clients and consultants. Ensure client expectations are met by regularly reporting status via schedule updates, meeting minutes, and financial records. Manage project staff, peer review deliverables, and chair client, project, and site meetings to resolve issues and coordinate between multiple parties. Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients while responding to business development opportunities with support.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, project management or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, representing owner to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of project of varying size and scope
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
- The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing and delivering projects in the healthcare sector is an asset
- Experience with the preparation of RFP's, tenders and tender closing/award procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
- Professional industry credentials such as the following, or other similar industry recognized designation is considered an asset: PMP, P,Eng, RA , CSA Z8000-18 Canadian Health Care Facilities, CSA Z317.13-17 Infection Control During Construction
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams
- A strong sense of community and involvement in local community boards and associations
