Project Manager - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary
Project Manager responsible for the preconstruction phase and ongoing management of healthcare construction projects in the Washington Metropolitan area. Leads budget development and updates (including exclusions and changes), tracks budget lines, mitigates cost overruns, finalizes owner contracts, coordinates with design teams, and ensures timely completion within budget and quality standards. Oversees safety, quality control, and the coordination of subcontractor and professional service contracts; drives procurement, change orders, and payment processes. Builds and sustains relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and owners; prepares for client meetings and project interviews; ensures adherence to general contract terms and company safety and quality control programs. Requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of healthcare/mission-critical facilities experience, and strong skills in project management, budgeting, scheduling, negotiation, and subcontract management; certifications such as OSHA 30, PMP, CHC, and LEED are encouraged. Location: Chantilly, VA, USA (onsite) with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in an accredited construction-related curriculum or experience equivalent
- Cumulative total of at least five years of progressive experience in healthcare or mission critical facilities (PM or Superintendent/Site Manager roles)
- Proficiency with construction management software (MS Excel, MS Project, Procore, etc.) and knowledge of AIA contract documents
- Ability to lead, coach, and train team members; strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
