Job Summary
Marine Construction Project Manager leads projects from award through closeout, coordinating scope, execution strategy, schedules, logistics, and field operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and client communication. Oversees budgeting, risk, permits (IDAPA/IDL/USACE), and documentation; collaborates with Superintendent, Compliance Specialists, fabrication partners, and clients to deliver dock and over-water structures safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include planning and sequencing fabrication, mobilization, barge operations, installation, risk mitigation for weather and water conditions, and maintaining Murphy Maritime quality standards. Requires strong leadership, ability to manage multiple stakeholders, oversee field challenges, and ensure safety and regulatory adherence throughout project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in marine, heavy civil, or waterfront construction
- Strong understanding of dock systems, over-water construction methods, and marine access logistics
- Experience coordinating barges, cranes, and marine equipment
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
