Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end execution of small and medium-sized substation projects, managing scope, cost, schedule, and risk to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction. Direct or indirect leadership of project resources while coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction teams across global regions. Prepare project acceptance documents, conduct monthly reviews with regional leadership, and organize customer meetings to resolve issues. Support sales tenders by providing execution budgets and participating in clarifications. Maintain compliance with local and GEV regulations and EHS requirements. This remote role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of international project management experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing international, multi-disciplinary projects
- Deep knowledge of the technical and contractual requirements of high-voltage substation projects
- Strong technical understanding of electrical networks and T&D technologies, including AIS/GIS switchgear, transformers, and related cabling
- Proven leadership ability to manage, organize, and develop multiple teams, including experience with staffing and training plans
- Expertise in core project management functions, specifically planning, resource allocation, financial management, and legal/contractual administration
- Proficiency in project management software and methodologies, such as MS Project and Primavera
- Solid understanding of international standards (e.g., IEC) balanced with knowledge of local market preferences and practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of T&D products and systems, with a specific focus on transmission and distribution substations
- Ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance
- Ability to effectively identify and act upon competing priorities
