Job Summary
Project Manager in Glasgow leads cross-functional delivery from initiation through closure for technology, product, data, and business initiatives. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining project plans and governance, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring clear communication with sponsors and delivery teams. The role emphasizes proactive delivery, alignment across regional teams, and continuous improvement of delivery practices, tools, templates, and governance standards. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience coordinating or managing projects, strong organizational and stakeholder-management skills, and solid understanding of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, RAID/risk tracking, dependencies, governance). Certifications (e.g., Scrum, PMI) and experience with Jira/Confluence and SDLC are beneficial. Hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence in Glasgow and potential travel/remote flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years' experience coordinating or managing projects
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to provide clear updates
- Proficiency with project management fundamentals: scope, schedule, RAID/risk tracking, dependencies, and governance
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and driving accountability in a structured, collaborative way
- Proactive, delivery-focused mindset with ability to identify issues early and keep projects on track
- Experience with cross-functional delivery and ability to translate business goals into actionable plans
- Desirable: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
- Desirable: Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar delivery tools
- Desirable: Exposure to software development lifecycle and technology-enabled delivery
- Desirable: Experience in financial services, technology, or data-intensive environments
- Desirable: Experience establishing intake, stage-gate, and portfolio prioritisation mechanisms
- Desirable: Stakeholder management across senior leadership, engineering, data, legal/compliance, and business lines
