Job Summary
Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception through completion, delivering on time and within budget while meeting client expectations. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies; oversee design and analysis of geotechnical aspects (foundation design, slope stability, soil mechanics, earth retaining structures, groundwater management); mentor junior engineers and technicians; prepare and review geotechnical investigation reports, feasibility studies, and technical specifications; ensure quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance; manage project budgets and schedules; identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals, and support marketing for the geotechnical division; travel to project sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field required
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey required (or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable time frame)
- Geotechnical site investigations, foundation design, soil-structure interaction, and remedial solutions experience
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering with project management/leadership
- Experience coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Travel to project sites including occasional overnight stays
