Job Summary
Project Manager to oversee low to moderately complex genomics projects, act as liaison between clients and laboratory teams, coordinate workflows, update plans, manage invoicing, ensure alignment of scope, timelines, and deliverables; requires life sciences bachelor’s or equivalent, 1-3 years in genomics project management, strong organization and communication, proficiency with Jira/Asana/Smartsheet/MS Project, knowledge of lab workflows, HIPAA/CLIA compliance, and collaborative cross-functional teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field OR equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of project management experience or project coordination experience in genomics, biotech, healthcare or related field
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage low to moderate complexity genomics projects
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to act as a primary point of contact for assigned projects, effectively liaising between clients and internal teams
- Basic understanding of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project)
- Foundational knowledge of laboratory workflows or genomics processes (or ability to quickly learn)
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to escalate appropriately
- Ability to track project progress, maintain documentation, and ensure quality and consistency of deliverables
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Demonstrated ability to receive and apply feedback professionally
