Job Summary
Lead commercial and building projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating subcontractor scopes and self-performed civil and concrete work. Manage project budgets, schedules, and job costs while tracking change orders and preparing pay applications. Collaborate with superintendents, owners, and engineers to align field production and mitigate schedule risks. This role targets 45–50 hours weekly with a 90-mile service radius. Prairie Landworks delivers civil infrastructure and industrial facilities across central Kansas, emphasizing self-performance for accountability and predictable performance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial or building construction project management experience
- Experience managing subcontractor-heavy projects
- Experience coordinating self-performed scopes such as concrete, utilities, or earthwork
- Working knowledge of contracts and delivery methods
- Strong understanding of schedule sequencing and critical path
- Experience with job cost tracking and forecasting
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Can pass a background and driving record check
- Field-aware — comfortable walking a site and discussing production with crews
- Organized and proactive
- Clear and professional in communication
- Strong in documentation and follow-through

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in municipal or public facility construction
- Experience with design-build or negotiated delivery
