Job Summary
Conduct daily DC Field Ops for capacity, network services, and physical layer execution while managing project schedules to ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. Enforce site safety protocols, maintain quality through documentation, and lead incident management to drive action items to closure. Act as primary contact for internal teams, clients, and partners to communicate status, risks, and milestones, facilitating planning sessions and war rooms. Support forecasting, budget reviews, and financial reporting while tracking vendor performance and approving invoices. Manage 40-70+ resources across direct hires and subcontractors in union environments, adapting to evolving tools and processes to optimize performance.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of telecom construction industry experience in a management or leadership role
- Knowledge of low voltage/fiber, cable management, and cable audits
- Cost forecasting, and budgeting
- Prepare and lead presentations and briefings
- Safety enforcement, Quality Control and change management
- Monitor vendor performance, approve invoices, and track project expenditures
- Assist in leading 40-70+ resources (technicians, project admin, safety personnel, and construction manager)
- Experience working in union environments, particularly with IBEW technicians
- Comfortable assisting in managing both direct hires vs subcontractor teams
- Experience across multiple contract and delivery models (GMP, design, build, fixed price, etc.)
- Proficiency - MS Office, Primavera P6, SPI (Scheduling Performance Index), CPI (Cost Performance Index), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura
- OSHA 30 (if they don't have it will need to be obtained within 60 days of starting)
- BICSI RCDD
- BICSI RTPM
- PMI PMP
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience managing large data center or structured cabling construction projects highly preferred
