Job Summary
Lead project leadership for planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects within the VA Financial Services Center, managing resources and delivering basic and stand-alone initiatives. Develop work plans including staffing and resource requests, coordinate client meetings, and produce documentation, research briefs, and interim deliverables. Anticipate project needs driven by work plans, manage dependencies, and facilitate proposal responses. This role supports digital transformation across IT products addressing timekeeping, payroll, healthcare claims, and financial reporting. Requires 8+ years of experience, PMP preferred, and ability to travel to Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of consulting and/or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to rapidly prioritize competing requirements
- Ability to understand and simplify customer requirements
- Ability to communicate end user feedback to technical and design leads
- Strong communication skills
- Proven knowledge of industry standards
- Ability to travel onsite in Washington, DC
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

- Agile and scrum methodologies aligned with Veteran Focused Integration Process (VIP)
- Familiarity with Process Improvement/ Process Design practices, such as: Six Sigma
- Familiarity with Process Improvement/ Process Design practices, such as: Lean
- Familiarity with Process Improvement/ Process Design practices, such as: Total Quality Management
- Familiarity with Process Improvement/ Process Design practices, such as: Theory of Constraints
- Knowledge of Government Policies and Procedures related to IT implementation
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail
- Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings, superior consulting abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial and operational modeling, capital planning models, healthcare staffing and workforce models
- Knowledge of military and Veteran health care populations
- PMP preferred
