Project Manager (Forestry)

Job Summary
Lead all Company operations in Dodoma region by recruiting, onboarding, and supervising field officers, planting teams, and regional coordinators. Coordinate end-to-end tree planting activities, including identifying planting areas, overseeing schedules, monitoring survival rates, and verifying tree tracking within the platform. Build high-performance operational systems, manage attendance and productivity, and represent the Company in regional meetings with local government, landowners, NGOs, and community leaders. Ensure accurate data collection for carbon credit reporting and drive regional execution aligned with growth targets. Provide weekly operational updates to HQ in Dar es Salaam while tracking KPIs such as trees planted, survival rates, and cost per tree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Forestry, Operations Management, or related field
- 5+ years experience in operations, field management, logistics, regional business management, or project execution
- Experience managing field teams or distributed operations
- Strong leadership and execution capabilities
- Comfortable operating in both office and field environments
- Experience in agriculture, forestry, sustainability, climate-tech, logistics, telecom, NGO operations, or community-based projects
- Experience setting up regional or branch operations from scratch
- Experience working with local government and community stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with carbon credit, sustainability, or environmental projects is an added advantage
