Job Summary
Conduct forensic investigations, assessments, and expert witness assignments to prepare technical reports, repair documents, and occasionally provide expert testimony. Manage multiple assignments concurrently while delegating to and mentoring production staff for maximum productivity. Develop repair design solutions for damaged structures and meet with clients to coordinate new project opportunities. Prepare proposals, fee justifications, and contracts in conjunction with leadership, and provide internal document reviews to ensure consistent production. Requires frequent local and occasional regional travel, with a minimum of five years' experience and a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architecture from an accredited engineering or architecture school
- Registered Professional Engineer, NCARB Registered Architect, or similar industry licensure/certification
- 5+ years' experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable means of personal transportation to and from office location
- Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability/willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding, work from heights, walk roofs, access crawl spaces and other areas of limited accessibility
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- AutoCAD and/or Revit experience
- Prior design and/or investigation experience
