Job Summary
Conduct project management supervision for assigned construction projects, acting as the liaison between Flintco, owners, subcontractors, architects, and engineers. Review preparation of project estimates, bids, and subcontractor selections while ensuring compliance with company standards within budget and schedule. Supervise subordinate Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Project Administrators to oversee resource allocation, material delivery, and construction activities. Monitor project status reports, resolve issues regarding changes and subcontractor performance, and manage punch list completion and closeout documentation. This role may require travel or working on remote projects out of state.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial construction management, including estimating, project management, scheduling, cost control, and personnel administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to prepare detailed construction project plans, schedules, and estimates and to make proper modifications to such, using a personal computer and standard company software
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications
- Ability to calculate square footage, volumes and percentages using a personal computer and calculator
- Knowledge of and application skills in geometry, trigonometry and algebra
- Working knowledge of personal computers and basic software programs
- Ability to manage project teams and large groups of personnel, and the ability to accomplish desired results through delegation
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as in providing written and oral instructions to employees and in communicating with architects, clients and subcontractors
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
- Ability to occasionally sit and smell
- Ability to occasionally work long hours for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification, i.e. LEED AP, DBIA, ASHE, is a plus
