Project Manager (Facilities Planning)

Job Summary
Manage facilities planning and design projects for Stony Brook Medicine locations, including physician practices, hospitals, and ambulatory centers. Create bid documents, analyze proposals, and coordinate design and construction plans while tracking time and materials to ensure projects meet funding constraints. Lead construction management for trades and contract labor, establish vendor progress meetings, and communicate project activities to practice administrators and building occupants. Maintain digital project records, manage change orders, and schedule furniture, fixtures, and equipment installations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare or related field
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in hospital facilities planning or facilities and construction project management
- In lieu of degree, 5 years' experience in hospital or healthcare facilities planning, or facilities and construction project
- Knowledge of NYSDOH, FGI, CMS, JCAHO and other regulatory processes
- Experience using ProjectMates or other project management software
- Strong analytical, organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong background in Excel
- Experience in data analytics
- Expertise in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must possess the ability to work independently, as well as in a group
- Must be a self-starter with minimal instruction and oversight
- Expertise in Microsoft Office is a must
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Prior Healthcare experience
- Experience with Project Management Software a plus
