Job Summary
Project Manager, Facilities IV leads healthcare facility design and construction projects for Sutter Health, coordinating design and construction activities, administering consultant and construction agreements, and managing internal staff and external vendors on large-scale, complex projects. The role requires overseeing schedules, risk and cost management, applying Last Planner System and Lean Construction principles, and ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance across hospital-related facilities from programming through activation. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 8+ years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and communication skills. Location: Sacramento, CA. Schedule: Full-time days.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field OR equivalent experience
- 8 years of recent relevant experience
- Experience implementing Last Planner System on healthcare projects in California
- Strong knowledge of Lean Construction on healthcare projects
- Ability to build reliable cost estimates and schedules for medium to large scale projects
- Familiarity with health care construction building codes and regulations
- Experience with Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI), CDPH, OSFM and The Joint Commission (TJC) processes
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience leading project teams with internal affiliates and external vendors
- Ability to manage contracts and construction agreements
- Demonstrated leadership in healthcare facility delivery (medical office buildings, hospitals, psychiatric hospitals)
