Job Summary
Represent Sutter Health in capital improvement projects, including new development, facility expansion, renovation, and retrofitting. Coordinate, monitor, and report on design and construction activities in accordance with internal departmental project controls requirements. Administer consultant and construction agreements while facilitating quality control and maintenance of design and construction schedules. Manage small project delivery teams to provide coordinated expertise and standardized tools to internal stakeholders. Demonstrate mastery of project management skills with a high degree of autonomy to deliver large-scale projects with moderate to difficult complexity. This role requires a combination of work from home and onsite work, with a full-time schedule spanning Friday through Wednesday.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's: Architecture, Engineering or Const. Management, or other closely related field or equivalent education/experience
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
- Must be familiar with health care construction building codes and regulations
- Must be familiar with space programming and allocation
- Must be familiar with cost analysis
- Must be familiar with discretionary approval processes
- Must be familiar with construction means and methods
- Must be familiar with construction processes and procedures
- Must be familiar with contract implementation
- Must be familiar with the State of California building approval processes including OSHPD
- Must be familiar with the State Fire Marshall
- Must be familiar with municipal discretionary approvals
- Must be familiar with TJC regulation
- Must have expertise in project management techniques and software
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Team skills to ensure appropriate communications and coordination across project delivery team, affiliate and vendors
- Client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between fps and affiliate leadership
- Able to manage and delegate tasks to technical and non-technical support staff
- Must be available for weekend shifts

Desired Qualifications
- 5 years experience of project management in the delivery of health care facilities and related construction projects
- 5 years experience on projects including medical office buildings, acute care general hospitals, outpatient surgery centers and psychiatric hospitals from programming through facility activation
- 5 years experience with responsibility of the delivery of projects exceeding $5 million construction cost
