Job Summary
Interface with mechanical client representatives throughout project development, execution, and completion to ensure clear communication and alignment. Execute contracts according to client requirements, overseeing multiple projects while developing implementation plans to meet goals and objectives. Assist in developing original budgets, managing changes, determining progress, and generating accurate forecasts. Provide direction to the Project Controls group by formally evaluating performance, offering feedback, and resolving performance-related issues. This role requires 10+ years of mechanical project management experience in oil and gas, heavy industry, or mining, with proficiency in estimating, scheduling, and interpreting technical drawings. Candidates must also demonstrate ability to analyze financial data and implement performance action plans.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing mechanical projects
- Education in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or Trades Background
- Minimum 10 years' experience in oil and gas, heavy industry, mining
- Minimum 4 years' of supervisory/site management experience
- Ability to read and interpret Requests for Proposals (RFPs), as well as technical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings
- Proficient in utilizing systems for estimating, scheduling, and project management
- Experience analyzing project and operational financial data, with the ability to implement performance action plans to improve results
- Completion of drug and alcohol testing
