Job Summary
Oversee plumbing and mechanical construction projects from the estimating phase through completion by preparing detailed estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, and collaborating with clients and subcontractors to gather pricing and labor costs. Manage awarded projects including scheduling, manpower, materials, and equipment while monitoring budgets, providing cost projections for billing, and handling change orders, RFIs, and submittals. Perform routine job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety, obtain required permits, and ensure accurate project closeout documentation. Coordinate workforce scheduling, attend project meetings, and build strong relationships with customers and vendors. Requires a valid driver's license, three years of industry experience, and proficiency with estimating software.
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and related construction documents
- Working knowledge of local and state plumbing and mechanical codes
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent the organization positively
- Minimum of three years of experience in estimating, project management, or cost development within the plumbing, mechanical, or underground construction industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred
- Experience with FastPIPE estimating software or similar estimating platforms preferred
